Dahlia Kanner handcrafts her jewelry using techniques such as lost wax casting, forming, carving and fabrication. She forms her rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces from both 18K gold sterling and sterling silver—often oxidizing (or blackening) the later for an edgy, modern look. Her large collection of plant and tree segments, minerals, insects and photographs of natural life forms inspire her designs and hints of their forms, textures and moods are within each piece. Kanner has a special affinity for the tactile and makes each of her jewelry pieces touchable as well as beautiful to view and wear. "I enjoy making pieces that people can connect with, wear, and enjoy daily."
